[edit] Posting Tips

There are many moving parts to SharePoint and many different layers. When posting in the newsgroups, please be sure to include the version of SharePoint you are referring to. Try including the version as part of the subject line, for example: [wss2], [sps2003], [wss3], or [moss].

This will allow the community experts to better assist you.

There is also alot of confusion around the version number of the product. For example, sometimes you will see posts referring to WSS 2007, or WSS 2003, or MOSS 3.0. None of the versions mentioned prior are technically valid and generally the community can figure out what version you are talking about. However, it will just make the discussion easier if the proper version is referenced.
